The single father about his daughter with Down’s syndrome – “God makes no mistake. It’s a gift.”

Over the years, we’ve all learned more about Down syndrome, also known as Down syndrome. Unfortunately, prejudices remain and often people and their loved ones suffer. That’s why it’s important to talk about it, share great stories and open minds.

Country star Rory Feek talks openly about his daughter, who has Down syndrome, and loves more than anything, in the hope that attitudes will change. One of his blog posts went viral because it is particularly touching and moving.

In the United States, Rory Feek is a well-known country star. But lately, he has also received positive attention for his blog post about his daughter’s diagnosis and feelings towards a child with Down syndrome as Epoch Times writes.

Rory Feek was happily married to the great love of her life, Joey, for 14 years, until she tragically lost her life to an aggressive cancer in 2016. Rory now takes care of their daughter, Indiana, on her own.

Indiana has Down syndrome and her father loves her more than anything. For him, having him as a girl is “a gift”.“Indiana ne vaut pas moins que tout autre enfant. Différente ne veut pas dire moins importante. Avoir le syndrome de Down ne rend pas sa vie moins significative que celle des autres, ou que ses rêves et ses sentiments sont moins importants”, écrit Rory dans son article.

“Indiana is no less than any other child. Different doesn’t mean less important. Having Down syndrome does not make his life any less significant than others’, or that his dreams and feelings are less important,” Rory writes in his article.

“God makes no mistake,” he writes, stressing that we must pay tribute to our differences and that people must stop seeing them as something negative.

It is important that everyone can get such an important message across. Known people can make their voices heard easier and these are thought-provoking words. Don’t hesitate to share the message and let’s celebrate the differences together!
